    Bently Nevada frame interface module (RIM) is the basic interface of the 3500 frame. It supports Bently Nevada's proprietary protocol for frame configuration and calling up inbation in the unit. The frame interface module must be placed in the first slot in the frame (close to the power supply). RIM can be connected with compatible Bently Nevada communication processors such as TDXnet, TDIX and DDIX. Although RIM provides certain general functions for the entire framework, it is not part of the important monitoring path and has no impact on the correct and normal operation of the entire monitoring system. Each frame requires a frame interface module. For triple module redundancy (TMR) applications, the 3500 system requires RIM in the b of TMR. In addition to all standard RIM functions, TMR RIM also has a "monitor channel comparison" function. The 3500 TMR configuration perbs monitoring voting according to the settings specified in the monitor options. In this way, TMR RIM continuously compares the outputs from three mutually redundant monitors.
